Gothic Revival meets Art Deco in De Vere’s recently refurbished, award-winning London venue.

Over five floors, the De Vere Holborn Bars offers 40 meeting spaces including a wood-panelled library and the naturally-lit Waterhouse Room. The refurbishment adds some thoughtful, modern touches to the Victorian and Art Deco elegance: pointy Gothic windows now have recessed blinds to block out unwanted light. The reception/lounge area offers bean-bags and a coffee truck as well as more traditional seating and Wi-Fi.

During our visit, at a client event, staff were friendly, efficient and attentive and the food was great, too.

Holborn Bars is worth considering if you want a wow-factor, historic venue without the compromise of ancient infrastructure.
