I had the pleasure of attending a friend’s 40th Birthday party here recently, and it is always great to review a venue from the guest perspective and not as part of a formal showround.

The Holiday Inn is an easy to find venue with good access from the M3, and plenty of car parking.  The venue and decor are in the traditional Holiday Inn style with some modern twists incorporated into the decor.

The party for around 50 people was held in the Restaurant, creatively using the space to accommodate seating, photo booth, disco and buffet food service, ideal for the numbers. The buffet food served was delicious and plentiful.

Facts : The Academy Conference Centre at the hotel offers eight flexible meeting room spaces and can accommodate up to 160 delegates, for residential delegates there are 86 spacious and contemporary bedrooms
